𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐢𝐨 🎸 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐜𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐜𝐞 were initially known as Freebooting Profiteers and formed in 2005, Leeds. They recorded fistful of mod garage powerpop tunes, with Carl Rosamond at his Billiard Room recording studio. IN Leeds. These tightly recorded pop explosions gathered a posse of airplay, label interest and the band played loads of gigs. In late 2007 they decided to change their name to 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐜𝐞, but the line-up only carried on for another year. Even though matters didn’t quite work out, 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐜𝐞 still managed to record a clutch of sharp pop tunes. Jonny ‘Magus’ Wilson was the last man standing, but he managed to recruit another line-up, and they carried on playing the Freebooting Profiteers/The Ace mk1 songs for another  year. In 2010, they tweaked their sound into a freakbeat, garage-beat monophonic frenzy and recorded two albums, a series of Eps, and a vinyl single on Crocodile Records, until the band came to close in 2016. Although 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐜𝐞 are no longer a gigging band, they have had songs released on compilations in Spain and France, over the last couple of years. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐜𝐞 have been given yet another lease of life by Gobshite Records, who have a released a new vinyl single featuring 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐜𝐞 song Nosferatu Seduction. The song was initially recorded by the Freebooting Profiteers line-up in 2007 that that then became part of The Ace’s set of tunes. Ste Milly from Radcliffe in Manchester. This is his first ever single release. He’s been playing guitar and performing for about 10 years and over the last couple of years he’s started to write his own songs.
